Many plants and herbs have been found to be toxic, similar to marijuana, ecstasy, and cocaine. Many aphrodisiacs have strong psychedelic effects, and are used in magic rituals to establish contacts with gods, spirits, ancestors, past and future, during shamanic healing sessions, for prophecy, and to heal many diseases.

Controversies have voiced their opinions: the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), medical doctors, health experts among others.
Some doctor's say that no such thing exists, that the only thing you need is a good diet and exercise..I can tell you that these doctor's have never personally experimented with nature.

-Some say Aphrodisiacs do not work, as others disagree-
Trial and error though, has given us the biggest clues to those substances that may truly affect certain parts of the human anatomy. Those managed by the American Indians, South American tribes, and people from the Orient to name a few.
I do not believe that the answer simply lies as a 'they don't work' or 'they do work.' If a substance has been used over and over, and has been repetitiously experimented with, there should be some questions baring curiosity maybe it's worth looking in to. It's true that some things affect men, while others directly affect women. But if we aim to remain open to all possibilities, maybe then we could discover the right recipe for ourselves personally. Sexual herbs are eagerly consumed no matter how unappetizing or bizarre!

-Origins of the Aphrodisiac-
Aphrodite was the Greek Goddess of Love. She was the 'Venus' of the Romans. Aphrodisiac was given its name through the love of Aphrodite. Aphrodisiacs are sought because of believing that they could enhance the greatest earthly pleasure that they have been given: Sex.
Man is lead by the hair of a drive that is stronger than he is.
The aphrodisiac's purpose is to enhance sexual urges & desire, (libido) and the sexual drive. They have been used for thousands of years... any chance the whole idea could be just the imagination? I think not. Many drugs are plant based. Nature is always full of surprises, and will always outlive any man-made substance. Without plants many man-made drugs would have never been imagined alone.

Aphrodisiac Plants Have Been Used for Ages:
-to help infertility and sterility
-for purposes of seduction
-to improve potency
-to spice up your sex life

The strongest aphrodisiacs are poisonous and overdoses can lead to death. Use psychotropic aphrodisiacs with caution. Herbs are unprocessed drugs and may interact with other medications. Elements from the plant world, minerals, and those from the animal kingdom have incredible arousing effects on both men and women.
